Many women reach adulthood and realize how difficult it becomes to make authentic friendships - especially when you exist outside traditional expectations.
The Society of Spooky Ladies was founded in 2025 by Stephanie “Lady Smartypants” as a way to stay connected with friends who shared a love for spooky culture, weird hobbies, gothic aesthetics, and unconventional living.
But underneath the dark humor, tattoos, witchcraft, horror movies, and strange collections was something deeper: The need for genuine community.
The Society was built to change that.
This is a space for women who:
feel different
feel isolated
crave community
love spooky culture
value inclusivity
want meaningful experiences
are tired of performative social spaces
We welcome and celebrate ALL women - including trans-women and gender-diverse people who feel comfortable in a women-centered environment.
You do not need to identify as a witch to belong here.
You do not need to dress a certain way.
You do not need to perform “spooky.”
You just need to show up as yourself.
