We are looking for small spooky business owners who are in the early stages (year 1-5) of bringing your spooky brand to life or even brewing up a new idea for a spooky business. Business members of the Society of Spooky Ladies will have access to a rich, supportive community of spooky business owners you can collaborate with, bounce ideas off of, bring your questions to, and grow alongside.

Here is what we are looking for:

  • Your brand/business must be focused on serving the “spooky” community, meaning your product or service is targeted to people who enjoy things in the horror genre, witchy, metaphysical, spiritual, alternative wellness, oddities, vintage/thrift, or other “usual” items.

  • Your brand is female-centered, purpose-driven, and built with intention.

  • You prioritize ethical sourcing, honor cultural traditions without appropriating them, and create with both social impact and environmental mindfulness in mind.

  • Your brand is thoughtfully crafted, with striking visuals and a compelling story that resonates deeply within the spooky and alternative community.

  • You’re not dabbling—this is more than a hobby or a side gig. You’re building a real, lasting business rooted in spooky culture, and you're fully committed to its growth.

  • If your business sells physical or digital products, they are high-quality, intentionally designed, and available to purchase online through an online platform such as your website, Etsy, or Society6.

  • You’re able to commit to attending brainstorming workshops for six weeks as part of the educational portion of the program.

Q&A

Q: Is the program open to spooky businesses outside the US?

A: Not at this time. Hopefully, we can expand to markets outside of the US soon.

Q. How long is the Business Membership Commitment?

A: The program follows a curriculum to help you examine and grow your business. To maximize your benefit, we recommend maintaining membership for at least 2 months.

Q. Do I have to use a certain social media?

A: No. While we encourage you to use social media to connect with your target audience, there is no requirement beyond having an online platform if you sell a physical or digital product.

Q. Do I have to have started my business? What if I’m still figuring things out?

A: We welcome businesses that are still in the “figuring it out” stage. We are here to help you create a successful spooky business in whatever way you need.
